The first dean of the medical faculty was I.V. Smirnov. In this position, he worked until May 30, 1969. In May 1969, Professor V.V. was elected Dean of the Medical Faculty. Amosova, who headed the faculty until 1985, Dean V.V. Amosova was distinguished by great organizational skills, together with the rector of the university S.F. Saikin she skillfully conducted the selection of scientific and pedagogical personnel, not only in our region, but also beyond. For a relatively short period of time, they moved to the medical faculty from other medical schools, DS Gordon (Ivanovo), V.S. Kupriyanov (Ufa), GD Anikin (Ivanovo), V.S. Semenov (Minsk), A.N. Volkov (Aktobe), V.E. Volkov (Kazan), M.S. Solovyov (Nizhny Novgorod), V.S. Stepanov (Barnaul), V.N. Saperov (Perm), G.M. Vorontsov (Semipalatinsk), L.N. Ivanov (Kazan) and others. Most of these doctors and professors were the founders of scientific schools and became the pride of the medical faculty and the institute. Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Ivanovsky and some other medical institutes assisted in equipping the medical faculty with teaching and laboratory equipment and textbooks.
